That issue eventually turned into my system being unable to wake or to boot from the power button and I'd have to do a hard power off (30 sec power hold) and then boot into safe mode (power + volume up) to get it to turn on at all. It eventually stopped responding to that unless plugged in (even with a full battery). With each iteration of the issue I found hundreds of people with the exact same issue and reps saying they had no solution but were looking into it. Last week, it finally stopped booting at all and is now a great door stopper.

I love the fit, finish, and innovation of the surface products, but they really show how new MS is to the hardware game and the cost of that innovation. As I look for a new laptop, my experience with the SP2 is holding me back from considering another surface product.
