You may be prompted to enter the new Secret Key when logging into 1Password on other devices. After the new Secret Key is generated, click the Download button and store either a printed or digital copy of the new Emergency Kit in a secure offline location.Enter your password and click Regenerate Secret Key.You should not need to change your Secret Key very often (or ever), but you can do so by following the steps below. Your Secret Key is a long autogenerated set of numbers and letters that is created when you create your 1Password account and is required whenever you log into 1Password for the first time on a new device. We recommend doing this via phone call or videoconference for security reasons. If you share access to the 1Password account with others, be sure to communicate the new password to them. You may want to update this password from time to time, either for good security hygiene or because someone who had access to the account left the organization. Your account password is the password that you enter to unlock your 1Password account every time you log in. Enter the password for your account and click Change Email Address.The email subject line is Confirm new email address for your 1Password account. Enter the token provided in the email sent to the new address.Enter new email and click Send Confirmation.If you need to change the email address associated with your 1Password account you can do so easily by following steps below. You will need to make sure to communicate the changes to everyone who is using the account. Be careful when changing the email, secret key, or password on a 1Password account shared by multiple employees.
